There she was, young little me

In the hospital hooked up to machines

Tubes in my nose, fighting to live

Giving this life all I had to give

But in the middle of the storm

My dream of being in high school musical was born

I wanted to act, I wanted to sing

And for it I would give anything

Little did I know it would all come true

And this crazy story I'd live to tell you

I've been through it all

I never stopped fighting

With tears in my eyes

I never gave up

Without hesitation

I always told myself

That I would make it

And that I was enough

After all that I've been through

My dreams all came true

It was the start of something new

There I was up on the stage

Pinching myself to make sure it wasn't fake

My mom in the crowd with tears in her eyes

As my childhood dream came to life

Little me dreamed of this

To one day perform this play

Back then I didn't know what was in store

But I loved the journey on the way

I made it, I made it

I sang all my favorite songs

I performed in the coolest costumes

And I cherished it all night long
